Who we are

Word Skyline (wordskyline.com) is run by Yuxin Dai, an individual based in China (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@wordskyline.com.

These terms are the agreement between you and us about using Word Skyline. If you buy Plus, Creem sells it to you as our merchant of record, under its own terms of sale as well.

Who can use Word Skyline

You must be 16 or older. If you are 16 or 17, you need the agreement of a parent or guardian before you buy Plus.

You can play as a guest without an account. If you sign in with Google, keep that Google account secure: anyone who can sign in to it can use your progress.

Playing fair

Do not cheat with bots, scripts or other automation, try to break or overload the service, or get around its limits.

The name you choose for boards must not be offensive, pretend to be someone else or include anyone’s personal details. We may change or remove a name, a score or a group that breaks these rules.

Our content and yours

The games, definitions, example sentences, questions, recordings, pictures and code are ours or used under license (see Credits & licenses). You may use them to learn, but not copy, sell or republish them.

Your notes and the names you choose stay yours. You allow us to store them, show your notes back to you, and show your chosen name to other players where the app says it will.

Plus

Plus is a subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. The price is shown in US dollars before you pay, with any tax for where you live.

You can cancel at any time on the Plus page (Manage subscription). Plus then stays on until the end of the period you have paid for.

If the price of Plus changes, we will tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Our refund policy explains when and how you get your money back.

Coins and gems

Coins and gems are rewards inside the app. They have no money value, cannot be exchanged for money or given to someone else, and may be corrected if they were given by mistake or gained by breaking these terms.

Gems that Plus gave you stay in your wallet after Plus ends, unless the payment for them is refunded or reversed.

Changes and availability

We work to keep Word Skyline running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and we may change, add or remove games and features. If we close Word Skyline or take away a large part of what Plus offers, we will refund the unused part of your Plus period.

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app before it applies; if you do not agree, you can stop using Word Skyline and cancel Plus.

Ending

You can stop at any time and delete your data in Settings. We may suspend or close access for someone who seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If that happens to a Plus member, we refund the unused part of their period, unless they used fraud.

Responsibility

Word Skyline helps you learn words; it cannot promise an exam result. We are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our negligence, not for loss nobody could foresee. Where the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before your claim.

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit, or takes away your rights under the consumer laws of the country where you live, including your right to go to its courts.
